I recently had a client ask me for a list of all DWC EVENT and HEARING NOTICES. She wanted to know every specific event and hearing notice that we provided and how to access those without logging into each of her cases everyday or manually inputting mailed/emailed hearing notices from the DWC.

EDEXIS allows users to electronically file CASE WATCHES. A Case Watch will automatically track a California, litigated work comp case and report future hearings and events. It will also report past major event notices and case party updates. A CASE SEARCH will report ALL past event notices on a case from its inception. All of these notices can be accessed in various ways: through numerous CSV/Excel reports (both automated and manual), directly within our interface, or via our API integration.

Users do NOT have to be a party to a case to access this information. If you ARE a party to the case, you will receive hearing notices from the DWC via either fax, mail, or email depending on your preferred method of service. You will NOT receive all the notices from the DWC that you will receive from EDEXIS.

Here is a list of the 190+ notice types:

As you can see, there is a lot of valuable data available within EDEX. Data that isn’t easily accessible from any other source. Integrating these notices within your work flow is a valuable tool and can be an easy process via batch uploads of both Case Searches and Case Watches.

If you would like to learn more about EDEX data, electronic EAMS Filing, or our mailing services, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are always happy to help.
